VESS SYMPOSIUM - OWN YOUR VOICE

On 11th of August 2016 the Cape Agulhas Municipality in collaboration with the Safe House held a symposium at the Bredasdorp Community Hall (Glas Kasteel). The well attended event was aimed at giving a voice to victims of abuse and facilitating a dialogue between victims and a panel of relevant professionals and experts in the field of violence against the target group.

By organizing the event the municipality and the safe house are responding to the spate of violent crimes against women and children in Bredasdorp and the greater Agulhas Municipal area that happened since 1998 until as recent as April 2016.
